That Goodyear slab gives you the traction you need to take corners, the traction you need for the good pavement pushin’, and the durability to keep coming back for more. It’s the real cherry on top (or bottom?) of the total package here. Goodyear Rubber is back again as a nearly bulletproof outsole. Seriously, I ran a half-marathon for fun on my second wear of this shoe. Combine that with the HyperBurst midsole foam and MStrike technology, and you’ve got a ride that I’d dare say you can’t find anywhere else. The Skechers ArchFit insole is in full effect here, providing an added comfort when laying some miles down in the shoe. As the official training shoe for Edward Cheserek, I have no doubt that was the case. On the first step-in, I immediately noticed a certain no-nonsense feeling that made me think the Skechers pros had a heavy hand in the development. Now, after running a few miles in these babies, I can literally feel the running prestige of Skechers flowing up my legs. RENALDO: I won’t lie, where I grew up, if you were ever caught wearing Skechers back in the day, you may as well strut yourself down to the local courthouse and change your identity. Still, Skechers used to be for old people and babies, but now they’re cool. Strong and Gosling have what could be described as a blissful encounter, full of comfort and love, while Kate McKinnon got… something else. Anyway, the gist is that aliens abduct McKinnon, Cecily Strong, and Ryan Gosling, and they’re discussing their experiences with NSA agents. It’s one of the best SNL sketches from the past few years, right up there with Diner Lobster. If you haven’t seen the short, shame on you. I loved that series, and comparing my thoughts with Renaldo and Jayton makes me feel like Ms. Instead, I’ll go last, much like Kate McKinnon in the beloved SNL Close Encounter series. However, my experience in the Skechers GoRun Ride 10 and the thoughts of my fellow runners have changed my mind. RYAN: I was going to lead this review off, right up there at the top. Sure, that’s a shoe I was pleasantly surprised by, but I figured there was no way Skechers could do it twice, right? When I stepped into this GoRun Ride 10, I realized it was time to eat my words. Either that or an absolute Seahawks fanatic.Īt first glance, it looked like a slower version of the Razor Excess 2. The Navy upper combined with the electric green midsole felt like something a middle school boy would be all over. Of course, those days are behind us, but truth be told, I didn’t love the GoRun Ride 10 the first time I saw it. JAYTON: Growing up, the only people who wore Skechers were old folks and babies who rocked the light-up versions. I enjoyed my first few miles out of the gate, so let’s get to the nitty and the gritty. It’s a lightweight and well-cushioned workhorse with all the bells and whistles Skechers loves to provide its runners. Now we have the Skechers GoRun Ride 10, another neutral trainer to pair with the Razor Excess 2. RENALDO: This is only my second Skechers review, but I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen from the brand so far.
